My first foray into delicious raw flax with pigment. Of course, I had to try a dramatic deep blue for my first colored batch. I love the rich tone, and those pretty little speckles from the raw fiber. Will definitely have to play around with this color/fiber combo more often. And speaking of play, since this was my first batch of pigmented flax, I accidentally used too much pigment, so I filtered out the excess to experiment with a couple new “waste not” recycled batches. Check out the first batch in a mid blue, and the second with a lighter tone and texture.
